Maik Schenk

Biography

The music, especially electronic music thrilled Maik since his childhood. His first song he wrote and composed with 11 years - a short melodic work on a keyboard. He created unique melodies that he receives from time to time in some of his songs until now. His way into the DJ scene was a bit unusual.

With the age of 14, for example, he learned deejaying on two simple tape decks, where there was no pitch control and so it happened that, when it was time for a gig at a bar or at a party, more than a week of preparation he needed to list songs with approximately the same speed and take to replace them later with reasonable transitions. Deejaying on turntables Maik learned quite late at age 18. But with his ears trained by deejaying with cassette decks helped him to quickly leave a good figure with turntables.

At the end of the nineties Maik met the former resident DJ Mok in Perleberg (Germany), which he then presented his own songs. Soon they came more frequently together to create common sounds. In 2002, both founded the band " Komate Inc." and celebrated fast large club successes in the east of the country. Outside of Komate Inc. Maik also worked on various other projects and with other musicians and DJs. There were projects like Maik And The Electrics, the radio shows Favourite House Vibes and houseTAUSCH, his own party ranks and various remix projects.

Since the 2000s Maik is touring as a DJ through various clubs and parties. His tour dates included the party series 'Deutschland tanzt' and 'Mitteldeutschland tanzt'.

But his greatest passion is still composing songs and remixes, which he now represents as a live act in his performances.
